Big picture

At Nile, we see a future where Africa’s producers can access the markets with the biggest need for their products. By integrating regional food systems, we aim to make nutritious food more accessible to consumers across the continent and beyond.

Our digital solutions aim to solve issues inherent to food trading including price discovery, quality verification, payments and traceability.

Nile's technology and data enables complex transactions and supports the flows of goods across regions.

Our solution

The Nile Marketplace is a B2B e-commerce platform that enables direct trades between producers and entities that sell to consumers.

Our platform makes it easy and safe to trade fresh produce with multiple producers across different regions. We aggregate supply across the SADC region to offer buyers access to high quality fresh produce at transparent prices.

Nile's team is solving complex problems in exciting new markets! We are building a team of highly skilled people that are passionate about improving Africa's food systems.

Our founding team combines managerial experience in Food, E‑commerce, Finance and Software Development at world leading companies - including Amazon, Jumia, JP Morgan, and Luno.
